Screw GarageGames, I'm going on my own version: Throw out all CS, GUI, Textures, interiors levels etc and then put back what we need. We throw out the CS/GUI files so that ppl cannot copy stuff off the DSO Anyway, the GUIs are still going on and I'll try and push Phil to finish them within 2 weeks. I got some more addons to the GUI I'd like to have as well. Anyway, we can have it ready by 1st September. The levels we will have are: Beginner: List LockedLet's Roll! (Phil) Diamond Round-Up (Ian) Flight of the Marble (Ian) King of the Marble (Matan) Battlecube (Matan) Intermediate: List LockedTake a Stroll... (Phil) Sprint (Lonestar) Downhill Racing (Matan) Double LoopLoop (Lonestar) Bumpy Highway (Phil) Advanced: List LockedNukesweeper (Matan) Crash Course (Jase) Perilous Road (Andrew Sears) Ice Cold Pass (Phil) Strategy Climb (Phil) Expert: List LockedThe Time Modifier Race (Matan) Uphill Racing (Matan) Music: List LockedMetropolis Rising Temper [first 60 secs only as we have a demo from Phil]

I agree with changing PM to TTMR.

I suggest having only 1 song in there.. if we have 2 or more it will kinda give off most of it Also to delete scripts and sounds that we wont use for powerups, triggers, hazards etc.

I agree with changing PM to TTMR. Me too.

I agree with Oakster and Andrew. However, I think we might want to QuArK all demo levels that have not been converted yet, to polish the demo as best we can.

I believe we are.

We are. Expect within 2-3 days me assigning the demo levels to convert.

I volunteer for Perilous Road. Plase don't give me more than 2 levels, as I'm very busy with the intermediate conversions.

Demo levels trump intermediates

I say no Double Looploop. RM sent it out (even though it had no textures and wasn't QuArKed) and we should aim for original levels (ie. not ones that were MBG but have been remade etc.).

How many ppl really did play it or download it? 5? It's nothing compared to the mass amount of downloads we'll be getting.

Locked levels and added Music (please see first post).
Assigned ppl to levels in Assignments Thread.

Hear me out with this. I disagree with Trigonometry. It uses bouncy friction 4 times (get up to the next 'stair' , get up to the tunnel with the MP's , as a hazard on the tilted ice and as a hazardous wall ). There are 14 levels in the demo, and if we are going to 'spoil' the bouncy friction (Andrew has it as a secret in his lense) then I reckon we should have at least 3 levels with it. So I say either replace Trigonometry, or switch some other levels so that 2 more include the bouncy friction.

Whoa, he has a point! I suggest putting in Stamina instead

Post by Pablo on Aug 19, 2007 12:37:38 GMT
Yes, Stamina would be a good choice. I agree.

That was I had originally suggested, goddammit. Jeez, make up your minds.

Who listens to you? Stamina was the last one in mind since we aint gonna do stairmaster and any other level from me would be suicidal (except for Uphill Racing probably) especially Ice Diamond.

*doesn't listen to Matan* Ok then. Stamina it is.

I wouldn't really want Stamina put in there.. because it's one of my best levels. I'll put in my suggestion in soon.

I talked to Phil via MSN and it's been decided to add FotM to beginner and Uphill Racing to expert instead of Stamina... after all, it's Phil's choice at the end as he's the mod leader and imo deserves to choose which levels he wishes to have in the demo if he has a good grounding base upon them.

I think we should include an MP map with the demo. It would take me precisely one minute, 37 seconds to copy a couple entities from mbp_ttots and retexture them to MBG textures. IMO, this would help people make better levels and there is no reason why it should not be included.

Updated the list above with different lvls replacements etc for reasons too obvious.
@ Pablo - NO, they can wait for the final version. It'll be easier and better on us if MBP is featured with stuff that no one has or knows and thus having it exclusive.

I'm still against Uphill Racing as this means that both demo levels for the Expert category involve collecting TM's to help you beat a tough Par, Platinum and Ultimate Time. Can't we have a different themed level?

Why not, LS??
Anyway, I could probably QuArK it pretty easily if someone can send me the maps (MFA1 to 5, I b'lieve). If I get the maps by tomorrow at noon (my time), I could probably have it done that night.

MFA1-5 are just very small pieces, most of the level is not Quarked. And, I made MFA before the HP crashed, so I don't have them anymore. I can't quark it because of: 1. Moving soon so HP is always off on business and confrences with the realtor. 2. Hardware issues with the HP itself and software incompatabilities with Vista 3. Flooded with school crap, high school with no study hall sucks.
