LS I will need you help. Help me convert these scripts so they support all of our game.cs funtions.
This is the template I have been using. (edited out, it was crap anyway)
LS debug it. I think the CMD line is broken for this one.

sigh... ROBOT MARBLE!! I DON'T KNOW TORQUESCRIPT!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT A CMD LINE IS, MUCH LESS HOW TO FIX IT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT FUNCTIONS WE HAVE ADDED TO GAME.CS AND I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO TELL YOU ANY MORE! This is much more advanced then what I do with Torquescript. I can't help you. Why can't Spy do it? imo, he should be Co-Coder, not me. I do simple stuff, as stated in my HTML "What I'm up to" page. Get it?

Sorry, It just so happens that you joined MBP was because you claimed to be able to help.

I said I could help. I had the idea of how to make the checkpoint work, but I don't know how to put it into code. And as I said in the reply to one of the emails you sent me, I said:
So officially, I am also a level builder. I wil help you with coding when I can, but this isn't one of those times. Another problem is that I don't have Dreamweaver, only Notepad on this Laptop. So I can't code anything for the time being, anyway.
I'm just saying, get off my back! I said I wasn't sure how to do it, and even if I could I've been flooded with work over the last month. I'm busy with a lot more things than MBP right now. You bugging me every day won't change that.

Hello... anybody here? RM instead of giving others orders why don't you do your job?

Matan I am trying. It is very hard because MBG wasn't programmed with the right .guis and used .cs file sinstead which makes life harder.

How do the GUI files effect the checkpoint? GUI's are the way the graphics are assembled, not any game-effecting coding.

They are important because the checkpoint pulls from play.gui and there isn't one so I have to somehow get it to draw from the .cs files by using $Game::Funtions

Since obviously RM cannot do the checkpoint, ultimate time GUI scoreboard and definitely doesn't want to add a 5th tab... What the hell is he doing here saying he knows GUI???

I have MBP on the laptop, so I have the GUI editor. That makes it easy for me to do GUI, I can work on the 5th tab for you. RM, the checkpoint should not be pulling from game.gui, and if it's trying just make one! That's an opportunity to make life easier, it'd be harder to re-route it through a different script.

The funtions are in the wrong place. And Matan I do stuff. I thought I helped you with UT. You said you had it working and I gave you advice about colors. You never said anything else. The Fifth tab is doable, but as I have been saying I need a pic first. I have the .gui editer on MBP.

But you don't seem to know how to use it. Making the 5th tab is easy, make it a button and have it co-respond with a new menu. I'll do it now.

Great, Lonestar this is what I need to have:
1) Add a new tab called Expert. Have a shitty looking pic for it called expert.jpg or whatever that will display it. Jase will change it to the current expert pic. Jase will make a new custom looking tab pic too. 2) Add in the codes the ability for MBG to recognise levels put in expert folder. 3) Expert replaces the position of Custom and Custom goes down (ie: expert on top of custom). This can be found in playmissiongui.dso i think.

You already told me you had no idea how to fix the rest (Same for Lonestar). I should contact Alex on this.

Cool, I'll start that. Will the PC GUI files be compatible with Macs?

.gui is a Tourque file which are normally Cross platform it should be fine.
Checkpoint is posible, but very hard because the game already has a checkpoint that I need tor replace. Yes I did just say that. MBG already has a checkpoint. It is not complete, but is there. It is these things:
}; new ScriptObject() { gemCount = "0"; penaltyTime = "0"; time = "0"; powerUp = "0"; pad = "2340"; bonusTime = "0";
The Pad is the # you see in the Editor over the Inspector. It should link you to that pad/Item in the game.

I knew that MBG had an incomplete checkpoint, I think we all knew that.

That's what I told u2 to base your checkpoint off, because I already figured be4 u2 that MBG had an incomplete checkpoint, so that we should complete it.

Did we give up on checkpoints?

Yes

|
|
Post by Perishingflames on May 6, 2007 20:38:26 GMT
Why? Is it impossible, or did we just decide we don't want them?

Post by IsraeliRD on May 6, 2007 21:35:48 GMT
RM says he needs Torque for that and Spy doesn't respond... so yea.

I don't think a checkpoint is entirely necessary anyway, it'd make levels too easy.

|
|
Post by Perishingflames on May 10, 2007 20:46:45 GMT
Well yes, but we wouldn't put them in every level. Maybe have them in one or two or a few more, but have them mostly for custom mbp levels users would make.
