It's Saturday and my dad just woke me up at exactly 5:31 am. I'm pretty sure I took a shower before we left. The previous few days I've been sick with a mild to bad cough and a tiny bit runny nose, so waking up I feel the worst. Anyways, me, my bro, dad, and mom get the car ready and head for Peoria for my sister's cross country meet. We get there at about 8:30-8:45ish I think and park next to the team camp. We weren't supposed to but who cares. We all watched the Fresh/Soph, Varsity, and JV races. The team did great, and my sister ran her PR. What I love about this park, is that next to it there's this huge gigantic hill structure next to it covered in trees. It's REALLY steep and looking down it's spectacular. You can see the river even which is across the park, and street, so that tells you how high it was (uh... kinda =P). Anyway I love to climb up and down it. I'm assuming the hills (it's not just in the park i dont think, but im not sure) are part of the river valley. like the park is inside the valley of the river. dunno though. Also, my uncle, cousin, and grandma came to watch too, so when they left, I went with them while my sister, dad, mom, and bro stayed a few more hours. My grandma and I went back to her house and I hung out and played on this computer until the battery died. I was terribly disappointed cuz i left the charging cord in OUR car. A little bit later my family got back and some other relatives of mine came to visit a bit and watch a football game. At about 6ish my family drove to my cousins' house for dinner. There there was us 5 and then them 5 plus my older cousin's boyfriend, Mr. Wimp lol. That was fun. We ate outside with a fire and the dog for a bit of entertainment. We talked. It was fun Then we went back to my grandma's house and I took a shower and then slept. The next morning a took another shower cuz i felt really crappy from my cough. Then me, my bro, sis, and dad set off to St. Louis for the Cardinal Cub game. We're Cardinal fans. The game was very fun too, but unfortunately the Cardinals lost. I bet you could find game highlights some place online. Anyway, we only had 2 tickets, so my dad scalped 2 other really nice ones. He got ripped off a bit but w/e, that's what happens. Well halfway through the game my dad and I moved to the scalped ticket's area to sit with my brother and sister because they had better seats After the game, we entered the parking garage and then whatever I typed below happened...

I'm sitting in my car right now and we JUST passed the accident. So here's what's happened:
It was 4:30 when we got in the car in the parking garage. It took us 40 minutes to get out of it after the game!! After that, we were still stuck in city traffic, so we were still creeping along. Then, we found a shortcut that for some strange reason no one was using. We just took a different route to get on the interstate. Unfortunately, the interstate was congested as well. I basically zone out for about an hour cuz I can't remember what i did all that time. Then, I suddenly realize we've been going stop-and-go pace for about 2 hours!!!!!!! My brother looks behind us and says "YOU CAN STILL SEE THE ST. LOUIS ARCH!!!" Let's just think about this for a second. The Arch is about a quarter mile from the Busch Stadium where we were. I got out my GPS and saw we were about 6 miles away, and like I said we had been traveling for about 2 hours. That comes out to an average of 3 mph (4.83 km/h). Pathetic... It's just scary that we can still see the arch 2 hours after we left. Then, now that I was aware of my suroundings, it was so funny cuz we could recognize everyone we passed and got passed by cuz it was going so slow. Once I got my GPS running, I saw that we had then gone exactly 2 miles in roughly 27 minutes. 4.4 mph now (7.15 km/h). Oh yea, we were also directly behind a truck full of cattle for a while =D.
Sadly, the thing that cost us so much time was just simply a car that had driven OFF the road into a ditch. They turned the 3 lane road to one lane, and just as we got there it turned into 2. That was probably the slowest and longest time going slow I've ever experienced. Since then our max speed has turned into 88.4 mph (142.26 km/h). We are now 29 miles from the stadium and the GPS says it should take us 30 minutes to get there... not almost 3. It's now 7:14 pm and we're heading back to my grandma's house to pick up my mom and then head home. Then.... SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!! *dies*

So that was my weekend. Pretty fun overall. Plus I got really lucky and got some internet at my grandma's house to answer the Mystery Pic.
It's 8:47:42 pm Just a random fact.
[it's now 11:05:40 pm on the 18th, and I decided to add some stuff before I posted this]
Well, of Sunday night, when we got to our house, we saw a coyote in our front yard!!! That was pretty cool. it was just there minding its own business IN OUR FRONT YARD! My dad tried to get a pic, but no luck, it was real late. Maybe it's not uncommon to see a coyote in YOUR yard, but in this suburban area, that's really wild. (heh, great word choice).
On Monday I went to school, found out I made the Chamber Orchestra for school even tho i practiced the music for only 3 days. I'm not going to do IMEA (google it) even though i would most likely make it too. i have other stuff on the day of the concert.
I also had viola lessons after school after x-country practice.
On Tuesday (today) I had a x-country meet. dunno how i did but i most likely did worse than Thursday. for some reason EVERYONE always does worse on thier SECOND meet. its weird.
well, then i did a TON of homework and now im here.
im dying to catch up on reading the forum, but it's gonna be a while till i have time to do that. im falling behind very rapidly and before long it'll take hours to read the posts i missed
