Hi guys, Just tried running MBG on Windows 8 Pro 64-bit. No luck. The game doesn't start at all. Is there a fix?

Did you try to run it as administrator? What about running it in compatibility mode for older versions (xp, vista, 7)?

If you got it from GG, did you put in ignition key in?

did you runned the "installator" (not the icon to execute the game, the application to intall marble blast in your computer) as admin?
Did you tried "find compatibility problems" option?, right click on the executable and select that.

Though I haven't tinkered with Windows 8 since release, I did manage to get a non-ignition version of Marble Blast Gold running by launching it using compatibility mode for Windows XP. This article may help explain what I am talking about. ~Aayrl

Going to ask where did you obtain MBG. Is it GarageGames? RealArcade? etc.
I know MBG works fine in 64-bit so it's a question of what version you're using.

Theorically Worked for me:
1.- Before Install the game, run the "Run Compatibility Troubleshooter" 2.- Check the boxes: Run in compatibility mode (after the answer of the troubleshooter) and as admin 3.- Go to: -My Computer-> Right Cick on "C: Local Disk" -> Properties -> Secutiry Tab -> Select Admin -> Advanced Options -> Check "Total Control" 4.- Repeat step 3 with SYSTEM and Users created. 5.- Intall Marble Blast with those settings. -The game will install and run without issues
What it does: Basically it says to the computer that you have admin powers in your main Hard Disk (C: Disk) and all the content installed as administrator, installing MB as admin will let you save custom levels, marbles created, modify files (codes), copy/paste content from different folders (can't be done before those settings), in other words, let you do whatever you want in your computer.
Tested with: ---MBG from Real Arcade (worked without issues) ---MBP from Phil's Empire (didn't worked) ---With Windows 8 Pro 64 bits. (changing to Windows 7)
Hope this helps.

Are you using the touchscreen laptop? If you are, you probably can't load it because of it's type of processing system.

I had originally bought the game from Yahoo, and copied it over from my old PC to my new one. Does anyone know how I can download it again?

Not "legally" for Windows. I'll send you a PM tomorrow when I arrive home with more details.
