^That. This is seriously the first contest I've ever entered lol, and it's a big one at that... It's a contest for remixing Linkin Park's newest single, "Lost in the Echo". The band members themselves are the judges! The grand prize winner receives a whopping $1,000, a guitar autographed by the band, merchandise, a plaque, as well having their remix sent to all fans who preordered "Living Things" (which I'm assuming is their new album). That's a whole heck of a lot, and I'm going into this competition with the mindset that I'm going to win. However, I do need to stay in touch with reality, and realize that there are hundreds of submissions. As a matter of fact, something that makes this contest twice as fun is that one of my competitors is a producer who is my biggest inspiration: TranceCrafter. That guy is wicked crazy with his tracks. Search him on Youtube. I do find myself comparing my tracks to his a lot, and his are always better. But nonetheless, now I get the chance to actually show the world what I've got, and I'm putting my all into this remix! Details can be found here: www.indabamusic.com/#!/opportunities/linkin-park-lost-in-the-echo-remix-contest Wish me luck! ~ TW

Alright, well, TranceCrafter decided that he will NOT be finishing/submitting his remix. He says he would rather focus on his original work than draining himself out in this remix, which makes some sense, I guess. On a related note, I have 6 days to finish my remix, since I won't be dropping out. I feel that I have an advantage in this competition because I'm taking my remix to the next level, turning it into more of a full-blown remake using only the vocals. Everything else is original.
Well, we'll see how this goes... We're up past 600 submissions to this contest now... Holy crap...

Thank you! Yeah it's really the only remix I put true effort into - took around 20-ish hours. All my others took like 2.

Voting has begun! The voting period lasts until October 25, at approximately 5:00pm EST. Please vote for my remix (if you like it, that is )! www.indabamusic.com/#!/opportunities/linkin-park-lost-in-the-echo-remix-contest/submissions/137388 My place is always changing, everytime I refresh the page, as there is a grand total of 1,376 submissions! The final truth is that the grand prize winner is not determined by the popular vote. Linkin Park itself listens to every submission and chooses the winner based on all 1,376 of them. The winner of the popular vote is more of a 'runner-up', per say, though not exactly. Just vote, please.
