I figured out that I can change the level editor options to say from GemItem to DiamondItem as well as change its class to Diamond. Anyhow, this is the outrun:
- Change Gem to Diamond in codes and then go over all .mis there are and change Gem with Diamond. This affect LE too where it will now say Diamond. - Change powerup names too.. again, MIS coding too.
This can take a while to do but 100% success guarantee...
So... yes or no?
I will only do this if there's a total of 7 votes YES, aka 100% of staff.

Couldn't you just change the name of the dts? But yeah, it would be a lot of work. We could all do our own levels, to distribute to work around a little. I vote yes.

I say yes as well. You shouldn't have to do that by yourself, Matan. I will be happy to do the edits for my own levels .mis files.

Hmm... so this would just change the names and not do anything else? Not worth it. Sorry you all, I vote... No.

I agree with Ian. Its not that big of a deal to go through all of this just to change that, all that matters is the name you see when you pick the items up in levels..
Although you could replace all words in a file to other words, there are many words you would have to replace and it really just isn't worth it, so.. No.

It's not THAT hard, could take up to 4 hours...
Besides, looks better if we have a successful conversion.

It could be done fairly easily with the 'find and replace' function in TextEdit and Notepad... I don't see why it would be so hard if we divide the work among the level creators.

Hardest part is getting new stuff to work in the game. We failed miserably trying to change gems to always diamonds.

It took to me 30 mins to do all MIS so it was fine but I couldn't get the codes to activate right

You shouldn't be doing a whole load of work, changing from GemItem to DiamondItem If changing does occur, in QuArK I'll have to find a way so it places DiamondItems instead of GemItem.. hopefully I can do it Sorry if I'm going a little bit off-topic but what about when the new skyboxes are put in? Wouldn't the lighting AND skybox have to change? (I'm thinking of remaking Day, Sunrise and Night)

About diamond/gem items phil, forget it and use the current ones of gem item. About skyboxes, no idea. I think it's just the skybox that does both

Skybox idea sounds cool, Phil. Go ahead and do it.

The lighting would not have to change for the game to work, but it would make things more realistic. Sounds cool, let's try it.

Alrighty then I've been doing a lot of work today, infact converting 2 levels, finishing the other half of another 2 levels, so skyboxes will be my next thing on the checklist
