you got it.
lol right now im working on more skies... Heres a list of features that TG2 has which TG1 doesnt:
1. Multiple planets/atmospheres 2. Multiple light sources 3. OBJECTS 4.3D atmospheres (can be in clouds, or between layers)
Theres tons more, I just havent found em all yet.
Could I make a thread for my TG2 skies and leave all my TG1 skies here?

Err the lighting seems to kind of ruin it. Does it look any good in MB?
And why not just use this thread?

I wasnt paying much attension to the lighting, and was just trying to get some plants in detail. and... This thread already has 27 skies in it and all with pictures so it gets kinda crowded up.
Oh and... Did you change your avatar from an eyeball to a marble in the last 2 hours?

It would be better to have 1 thread for everything, just like with level topics in New Levels board. Also, refresh the page more often and checkout PF's avatar

Err the lighting seems to kind of ruin it. Does it look any good in MB? It looks completely sweet: The ground looks a bit lacking in quality, but I suppose that couldn't have been helped.

Skybox ZETA released.
This skybox is mostly like TG1 skies, excepting the fact that the clouds are BELOW the camera.
And PF, how do you get the random marble avatar? ------------------------------------------------------------------ 10 minutes later... ------------------------------------------------------------------ ORBITAL skybox released.
This is the first TG2 sky which has multiple planets in it.

I use php to randomize the images. Zeta is a great concept, but the ground is just too blurry/grainy in my opinion. I really like Orbital though

Do not bump old topics. Sim978 is not on the forums anymore, and a shortcut to get a warning.

That was sort of random, and an unnecessary bump RDs.empire...
But yes that sucks, that those have no bottoms, they are awesome skyboxes!

No, I'm not dead.
Okay, sorry for not posting anything for the last 8 months or so, but a combination of *severe* technical issues/real life/distractions/a million other things kind of prevented me.
I'll post another skyboox in a week or so. By the way, how do you insert images into posts again?

Upload the pic to a site like tinypic or imageshack, and use tags around the pic's url. Oh, and welcome back!

There's trees and grass so yeah looks terragen 2. Sim, new skybox is looking good but less zoomed in is preferable.

Alright, so i'll reseed the clouds so that the sun isn't blocked by them, back up a little, and FIX THE GROUND COLOR (forgot about that) EDIT: I'm also beginning a skybox called "Halo" where I'm trying to place the sun behind a moon so that it creates a halo effect. (just conceptual so far) ANOTHER EDIT: Expect the one in the picture by monday

Question: Are there any requirements of skybox pics besides 512 x 512 and .jpeg?
Announcement: As I type this I'm rendering the skybox in the picture with all changes stated before and maxed out detail (which I haven't tried yet)
EDIT: Object (plant) detail needed to be lowered because my computer doesnt have the ability to render it... overall detail still maxed.
