Ya, it's something very hard to do and in fact we tried it for MBP but go absolutely nowhere

I bet New Idea: Perks: As the player passes through the levels, he beats PTs and UTs. My idea is to make PT worth 1 point and UT worth 2 points. With 40/50/60 points you should be able to buy perks from a store. Perks will be like powers of the marble, for example like 5% resistance to hazards or 5% more speed. It will reqire a lot of coding, but using some variables it can be done like this // bumper code
[bumper code section]
if (perka == 1) // variable which becomes 1 when purchasing the perk {
[NEW BUMPER CODE HERE]
}
[END PAD TOUCHING CODE]
// when succeed UT { points += 2; }
// when succeed PT { points += 1; }
Sorta (well, not sorta, exactly) like C. Of course comments are open and please no flaming or swearing

Good idea, but incredibly rigged for WRs It'd be impossible to beat Pascal's score w/ a normal marble, seeing as he'll have the mega-fast super-jump-height not-at-all-effected-by-hazards epic marble.

Note: This is my first post! 1.I think the marble should have reflections! 2.Ultra Blast(Although it would be renamed...and also you would have to make it always freelook because right click would be ultra blast) 3.Mega Marble(which would also be renamed...and would only work on certain marbles) 4.Also I have no idea if this is possible but if someone knows how recode the entire game to use the "torque game engine advanced" for more reflections and maybe a more MBU look! If I have any more suggestions i'll post here! Thanks! And have a nice day!

Firstly, welcome to the forums and have a nice stay Secondly, i accet suggestion 1, but as for the next 3, i bet it is not possible and even if it is our coders couldnt be able to code it. ~ Mkbul

Having a member named "nobody" is bad enough, now we have a "nothing"? Welcome aboard! Good suggestions, though I'm pretty sure they're not possible.

Nothing, welcome to the forums! 1. Impossible with the engine. 2. Perhaps. 3. Already created for MB9. 4. Too much work and expense.

Having a member named Nobody is awesome enough, now we have a Nothing? well thats more like it -- Mkbul - this reminds me of the game Ninja-Warz..which that kinda makes sense. but if I were you, I'd try to keep MB as simple as it already is...it's not designed to be a behemoth of options..

If we went with "nothing"'s post, PQ would become MBO. PQ is PQ, and we're not gonna conform to another games expectations.
We want PQ to be unique, and not borrow every new feature from MBO.

Wait, "already created for MB9"? So you've replicated the Mega Marble powerup? If and when MB9 is dead, I'd like to see that. Perhaps you could do what MBR did. If MB9 is released, including the source for that would be great. EDIT: I just saw www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vkS_RW05FM. How the frak did you do that?!?!?! EDIT 2: Distance fog?! SMG gravity?! *faints*

Also, he told me prior to leaving that no work had been done on MB9 in a long time... Anyone know MB9's fate? PS. Morph isn't really all that hard, and didn't they already fix the ramp??

I would like to have a "favorite levels" tab and a "my levels" tab maybe? Just something I came up with.

You can already make a "My levels" tab within the custom tab, with 1.14's folder selector. It's a good idea to have a personalized list of levels that you've played the most.

Hello, i'm posting this report about all the bugs that i've found at MBP.
- 640x480 resolution in mbp is too big and it doesn't show some things like "click here to visit MB forums" or "Marble Blast Platinum 1.??"
Ok now let's go to the levels that need fixing!
Let's Roll (A small underground texture bug and you must make the helicopter place a bit bigger for GG marble) Jump Tutorial (Some texture bugs) Diamond Round-Up (It has some grid bugs) Lear the Friction! (Much texture and underground bugs) Training Towers (The SuperSpeed ramp is buggy) Learn the Wall-Hit (Much texture bugs) Gravity Knot (Fine, Yay) Flight of the Marble (Texture bugs) Teleport Marble (The upwards need fixing) Busy Bee... (Fine) Learn the Bouncy floor (fine) Bump your Head (The dif must be remade and the Gravity Defiers must be resized) Learn the Time Modifier (Fine, but i think that GG version must put instead this) Learn the Random Force (Some trimming errors) King or the Marble (Upwards need fixing) Magnet Training (It needs a bit texture fixing) Ground Zero (Some side trim errors) Recoil Training (Fine except something. Then you fall with the Anti-Recoil the brown walls are a bit bad textured) Mini Mountain (Some texture bugs) Ramps (fine) Diagonal Training (Needs an upward debuging and underground texture fixing) Learn the edge hit (Fine, but i think that GG version must put instead this) Hazard Loop (fine) Keep on Rollin' (fine) Battlecube (needs underground fixing)
I'll post more later, i'm tired!

I really like mkbul's idea - but here's what i think it should be like.
Specific marbles can only be used offline or (if) multiplayer. No leaderboards for obvious reasons.
Here's some i came up with.
Lead Marble - Can move much faster - once up to speed, possibly 2x faster then the regular marble - Size of the GG marble, or MBU marbles - Far slower acceleration - Much less control - Jumps only 3/4ths of what a regular marble can
Punched-Out Marble - Looks like mario's red and blue block marble - Jumps nearly twice of what a regular marble can - Very lightweight, can glide very far in air - Far less control on the ground, but nearly twice the control in air - Equally matches about 13 gravity (default is 20)
Bumper Marble (multiplayer only) - When another player bounces into the bumper marble, they are shot back, like they would from a regular bumper. - Can jump as high as you would get launched from a regular bumper - Smaller mass then a regular marble - Cannot use some powerups, E.G. shock absorber, super bounce
With these sorts of extra marbles, specific levels could be made more fun to play on, and make multiplayer more interesting and have more possibilities.
Probably a useless idea but hey, it sounds fun...

I don't think it would be that bad of a idea on the LB if you let everyone have the marbles and you didn't have to unlock them. But I don't really think I would want a change like that.

That does sound fun, but it would get old real fast. Besides, Marble Blast has always gotten its fun from the levels, not marbles or gimmicks.

I just thought of having an option to change the fov (field of view). The reason is that on a wide resolution, things on the edges get really stretched out. An FOV around 100 would be nice for a widescreen.
Edit: Nevermind, a lower fov seemed to make less stretching =P A higher fov seems to look nicer on a widerscreen though.
Edit 2: Hmm, there's two different values, and tweaking them both produce different results. I'll just mess with it and see what I come up with.

How about these ideas:
- A ghost of your best time. With a on/off button in the Options - In the Program Files\Marble Blast Platinum1.14 a .pdf instruction manual how to create your own custom level - More achievements in offline mode - Add a button in the level selection screen to go to 'Learn How to Play Marble Blast Platinum', so the levels in Beginner will be easy levels instead of tutorials+easy levels - When you press the play button there's a MBP sign, under it there are 4 buttons; Learn how to Play, Beginner Levels, Intermediate Levels, Advanced Levels, and Expert Levels. Under those there's a MBG sign, under that sign there is 4 buttons; Beginner Levels, Intermediate Levels, Advanced Levels, and Custom Levels. - Add in a level 'Learn the sign hit' somewhere...
