Well, I'm relatively new to this forum (but not to Marble Blast ) and I have no clue about what PQ actually is about, so I've got some questions, could you please help? 1. What is PQ, anyway? Is it a replacement for MBP, a MBG mod...? 2. When will it be released (approximately)? 3. Any pie coming with it? Thanks lot!

1. Add-on for MBP, sort of a separate game.
2. We don't know, and they won't tell you.
3. No. But it may come with cookies.

This board has all the info released so far about PlatinumQuest that you're looking for. We don't have a release date yet, though, but most likely by late 2011. And no pie, either. Maybe muffins.

Have you seen the trailer?
PlatinumQuest is a new modification of Marble Blast intended to redefine how the game is played. It has many superb levels featuring new game modes, PowerUps, and codes. It has things that people have always said were impossible for Marble Blast.
(don't ask me what those things are; you'll find out eventually)

PQ is a semi-average mod featuring a few half-arsed levels and a huge lack of motivation. Once we have around 10 levels and some terrible new textures, we'll put out a request for level makers, coders and just about every other type of staff possible as we only have around 2 people committed to the project at the moment. 7 of these 10 levels will be tightrope-based, one will be a learning to roll type level, and the other 2 will be a mashup of overused challenges with even less originality than the tightrope levels. Instead of a Gold Time, we'll put a *insert name of gem or fancy metal* Time and people will think we're heroes! We'll realise what we got ourselves into eventually and just give up after a week or so. Or is that every other mod on this forums...? (KIDDING of course ) PQ will be the opposite of everything above!

Epic post from Oaky is epic.
1) What everyone above said. PQ is a standalone mod (like MBP), not attached to any other mod or game, not even MBG. Therefore, we don't support neither MBG nor MBP within PQ and vice versa.
2) Release date is unknown, even Andrew's estimate may change. We do have an aim, but it changed 3 times so far so I'm not making any promises. I will go Blizzard style and say: when we're ready.
3) Only apple pie.

Thanks a lot, but please let me clarify some things:
1. So, if it's not a mod for anything, I will be able to play without MBG installed? (I have it, but just out of curiosity)
2. LoTM October+November+December says "Probably the last one to be released until PQ is out". So, what's with the date?
3. I found some new messages down there in the trailer, like the Respawning Time Modifier or "17 diamonds until you reach 100%". Awesome!
4. You sure we get no pie with PQ?

1) You must have full version of MBG like any other mod. It is a mod, but considered a standalone like MBP.
2) With new mods come a new burst of levels. After MBP came out we saw a massive increase in levels from the community, we expect about the same or greater with PQ. Since currently there's very little amount of new levels plus those submitted to LotM, it's not worth it. If a mod comes out and people produce large amount of levels for it, then LotM can come back.
3) Read the description, nothing is final. There's a lot of testing of gameplay being done and a lot of things are sorta finalized. Trailer is a bit old; has a healthy amount of things, but doesn't showcase all the new things. There's a lot more in the background that will never be seen until the demo comes out, or until the full version.
4) Only apple pie, as I said above.

NOOOOOO!! I have deleted my MBG install!! Can we use MBP or MBA? Please??
Edit: Remembered to tell that, when I have installed MBA, I have installed it right OVER MBG, so the files are still there. I hope...

If you have MBA or MBP, since they both use basic files required by all mods to play, you can choose them as your "MBG" folder. This way the installer will copy over the files from MBP to PQ without any harm done.

Will it have some of the Ultra levels replicated?

No. PlatinumQuest has all new levels and a unique feel.
MBP had some Ultra levels replicated, and many more have been replicated as MBP customs.

Will PQ have an option to switch games, like how in MBP 1.10, you can change from marble blast gold to marble blast platinum? Will we be able to switch to MBP and MBG from PQ's level selection menu?
