Xelna -- I thought you were female - not lesbian I'll assume that's a joke. And what if he were a she and a lesbian? I'd be cool with it.

I'll assume that's a joke. Wait, well Xelna mentioned acquiring girlfriends - wait - huh? Why does he/she have "female" under gender? Is this supposed to be a joke? And what if he were a she and a lesbian? I'd be cool with it. Yes. I would be as well. Tolerance of race, sex, and orientation is always good. ;-)

Oh, you didn't know Xelna's real name? It's Pascal (quite masculine). His gender says female because... I don't really know. And what if he were a she and a lesbian? I'd be cool with it. Yes. I would be as well. Tolerance of race, sex, and orientation is always good. ;-)

People actually like to see lesbians having fun, but they can't stand watching 2 guys having fun...
By the way, I'm not lesbian, I'm not gay... I'm bisexual... And the pictures on my MSN = my current boyfriend... And yes I'm a girl and I'm looking for a girlfriend...
Will that stop the confusion or not? God...

Woah that totally makes more sense now. Yeah, Pascal is a girl's name, There's a girl at my school called Pascal. And now, I'm happy.. We finally have an active female member on these forums. I'm sick of this man party thing EDIT: Marblefire, get your facts right before going around saying people have masculine names. It's quite offensive to some

That gives me an idea..
Dear Matan,
It is now 10:27pm on Saturday, 12th December 2009. Folding at Home is not working atm but probably you will put it overnight.
You are currently working on a video of Mega Marble hit shots with Andrew, Seizure22, Hikaru98, solidsnipe and you are talking to Moshe about the description and start help text of Camp 2 and Moshe likes your description. You are, at this point (1 year ago) [assuming you are alive and on the forums when reading this], undecided whether to go for a "Marble Blast Online Highlights Series: Part 5 - Mega Epic" style or just a longer cuts of the scenes.
You also have a small USB-connected fan that costs $20 with 3 small white wings (tzuf's screaming in the saloon right now) and it gives a cool wind. You have a gowning demonstration CD next to you. There's the black small calculator next to you, as well as a yellow ball (for hands), and about 7.25 dollars on a DVD-R pack. You have a finished coffee cup that you got yourself 3 hours beforehand and next to it a medium sized pizza.. well, was. You finished it too Next to them are some gym gifts (12 days free for whoever wants). There are 2 dead batteries and 2 others (live) on the desk. Your CD player is also next to you, as well as a toilet roll for tzuf's poopings. Moshe is talking to you on MSN while you're doing the video (1:48.11 mins long, you're thinking to go Mega Epic style right now) and watching the next one in line, which is sitting on Frame 0 in VirtualDub 1.7.6. On your left, are the printer and on it is an Ocean Breeze bottle with 8 sticks inside it which give out a good smell. You usually put it in front of the fan and your room had an awesome smell. Next to them is the phone. Next to all that, is a Theme Park Inc with the CD inside your computer.. you tried to record it in 1600x1200 resolution (because you don't like 1024x768 on a HD screen) and got 42 seconds recorded (or was it 47? check chat logs with Oaky since you told him that) for 2.2 GBs before the game crashed. You decided to revert to 1024x768.
Your parents told you that chances are you'll go back to Israel in April, and your priorities are running above MB right now and you need to do the speedrun before you might never get a chance. Back to the stuff on printer: you got 2 Baker's delight calendars and the Tape 2 PC converted that you bought a year ago as well as the 1.5TB HD. You also have instructions from your father how to work on his "contivity" which you do for him when he's away.
Damn the fan is good.
Digital camera between the clock (stands on a CD case) and the DVD-R pack.
You saw the Ristar audio commentary (was okay, nothing too exciting) today as well. You love RKS and its songs. You also can't be bothered writing to yourself anymore about stuff around you 1 year from now.
Anyway, that's for you to know what you did at this point in time.
Love, Matan

Dear Moshe,
its 1:49 PM December 12th.
You are sitting on your brother's incredibly comfortable black couch in Herzliya. There is a space heater to your left and a blue blanket to your right. On the table to the left is an empty Blu energy drink, your ipod touch, sony handycam, glasses, wallet, cell phone, and a can of axe body spray. Hopefully, by now you will have given up alcohol in exchange for energy drinks, which make you awesome. You are fiddling around with Camp 2, whose first brush was laid just under 2 years ago. This expanse of time boggles your mind. your neck is sore from practicing dozens upon dozens of front flips yesterday. You are particularly proud of finally finding the balls to jump from one rail to another, and proceed to flip off of the second rail. You have spent the last 2 years wanting to try to do a backflip. If you haven't worked up the courage to do this basic stunt, I will leap through the space time continuum and destroy you. You have continued to go to the gym and are now, surprisingly, more ripped. You can hold a human flag with ease and do 15 muscle ups. You have started university at the Technion and are having actually work for the first time in your life. You have classes 26 hours a week, which you are going to, but will probably stop attending soon. You saw Good Will Hunting last night and are inspired to live up to your full potential. By monday you wont care. brb... lunch. back. you ate left over pasta (your brother made) and fried yellow rice, potatoes, and onions... your specialty. by now you better know how to cook other stuff. You are extremely delighted that your brother brought you the rest of the brownies that he made (but you gave him the recipe, and your roommate, Yonatan, from miami, gave you the recipe... the ultimate brownie recipe of all time). they are impossibly delicious. You lick some off of your thumb, because you dont want your favorite gray sweatpants even more stained. By now you better be fluent in hebrew... You've procrastinated on learning it for years. Maybe by now Matan has come to israel and visited you, which was no doubt an awkward encounter that your friends thought was weird.
Good luck, --Moshe Damkani

3:11am, Saturday 12/12/2009, at my house.
Sitting on a chair while dreaming what worlds would be somewhere far away. As i type i have some towers of books on my left and some hospital tools for my finger. A plate with cake and corn flakes on the right among with some geometry tools completes the view on my desk. On my eyes the bright light of the laptop reflects around the room. The small MSN window and the post reply is what you recognise through my eyes. Sitting with my palm at my chin im thinking about space and these huge numbers that mark our distance from the other planets, but also in the other side of the brain im thinking about christmas and art. 2,5 meters away from me is a tall christmas tree and behind it a heater. The window makes a nice view from the second floor of this building. The smell from the food that your grandmother is making comes down and calls you to taste the beautieful sweet octopus with the wine.

Right now I have beaten almost all MBP levels and have got PT on more than 50 percent and have about 30 percent UT. I predict I will hold a WR in marble mingolf DC soon (damn you rollcage) and will have more than 50 percent UT times. I am currently working on a mod with mbgdemon and it will be realesed in about 2-4 yrs. Current completion = 4%.

1% Some new coding done (random force, bouncy floor, new hazards, etc) and 3 levels, plus half the texturs are done. Not what you expect in a 4% mod, especially not the levels. LOL @ rollcage EDIT: Also some other stuff, I'm keeping it secret

Since the two that posted above me did that kind of format, I shall too. Perdictions will be at the bottom.
As of now, I have the following things around me.
I am currently sitting infront of a 15" monitor using 1024x768 resolution with a backlit keyboard with the colour blue. Speakers are ontop of the monitor and playing about 10% of full potential. I have an external harddrive behind my monitor which is 750GBs. We have currently 7 people (other than myself) living with us. I have my clock to the left of me as well as my DS, MP3, and digital camera. My glasses case is to the right of me, above my wireless mouse. My computer case is under my desk so no food and such gets under it. I have 2 cans and a bowl on my desk. To the right on the floor is my trash can, about 1/3 filled. Next to it is my dresser with my TV ontop of it. Right next to it is my Xbox and about 5-10 games to go with it, my favourites are halo 3, CoD:MW2, and RoE5. It keeps me away from MB. To the left of my chair is my old desk with 2 books on it, 3 headphones with a radio. I also have a laptop case and 2 notebooks plus a pack of pencils. My old desk had 9 drawers to it. My new desk doesn't have any but it has enough to hold my computer case and next to it has about 25CDs with music and such. Behind me is my bed and shelfs with tons of stuff with my awards and such. My closet has nothing but my jackets and clothes. What I am currently running is MSN, Anti-Virus, VLC, YouTube, Facebook, and Google. Firefox has no bookmarks bar because it reset itself and I'm lazy to insert my 89793861289361 bookmarks. I will reinsert all (hopefully) when I get my new PC.
Perdictions
-Will have used another 1-3 USBs -My new computer will have Intel before March -I will go out of the country once -I will get a new room -I will pass my 2nd year -I will get injured once -I will have 3 new friends -I will have about 200 videos -I will slowly drift away from MB -I will slightly get inactive -I will get at least 3 new pets
There you go with the Matan Format thing plus perdictions.
Goodbye for a year ol', Henry Mullhall [AKA Sonic Warrior1]

I already posted in here before, but I saw Matan's and Moshe's future-self letters/descriptions and thought it was a pretty cool idea to be specific on details, being the fact that we'll probably all have forgotten about what we have posted by March or April.
Dear Josh,
It's 2:24 AM on Sunday morning, just turned 2:25. You're not supposed to be up right now, but you're making up for lost time because of last month's trip to the Philippines. You won't mind, anyways, because tomorrow is Sunday and it won't matter if you're tired or not.
You're wearing a pair of gray sweatpants with a green T-shirt that was just recently passed down to you from Dad. You're playing the song "All I Want" by The Lightning Seeds as you type this, and you can't help but wonder if the January 1, 2011 Josh remembers how this song goes. You're constantly thinking about a possible Marble Blast Ultra 2 that might be being worked on this very moment by TorquePowered, formerly GarageGames. *The song changes to "Pure" by the same band mentioned above*
Earlier today, you were working on Mrs. Bernal's Biology homework and Mrs. Becknell's English homework. Unfortunately, as of 2:33 AM, the English homework has not been finished yet. You still have to do study questions on The Odyssey, as well as a brochure about any sort of addiction, and a comparative analysis. You also just remembered Mrs. Magnon's Geography homework, which was an outline for your story about a man's trip to Australia.
You went to Target today to get a pair of Levi jeans because the weather's getting colder; they're a bit loose around the waist. You knew it's not a problem because you can just use a belt. After that, you and Dad went to Best Buy to look at cameras and TVs, but Dad didn't get anything because he knew Mom would be upset if he spent money so quickly after coming back from the Philippines. You and Dad left and made another stop at Petco, the pet store. Dad got 35 large crickets and 4 white mice, to feed the ball pythons and tarantulas. You also got 5 tacos from Taco Bell, because you persuaded Dad to get some. The tacos were good, and the rest of the day went by rather uneventfully.
Back to this very moment: You're examining SonicWarrior1's signature as you're typing, which contains a picture of Sonic the Hedgehog with a subtitle of "Don't deny the awesomeness." You have an upside-down facing disc of Theme Hospital on your desk, but you haven't played it in quite some time. You just changed the song to Ultravox's "Vienna," which you've played for over a year already. Your printer is on. Your old phone, a dark blue LG Chocolate, is within your view. You turn around to see 2 long socks on your floor, as well as your pair of slippers and the clothes you wore to Target/Best Buy/Petco bundled in a pile. Your trashcan is full and your face is actually acne-free for once.
You just looked at Matan's post above yours and begin to think if your note to your future self is longer in length than his. Why would you care? You'll forget about this in a few months and you know it. Just imagine the day when you typed this, when it seems like a long time ago - ancient history, even - but the seasons pass in the blink of an eye. Savor the moment, and the new day, the one you realize you'll forget about before the forgetting even happens.
You hope you enjoyed reading this, and you'll thank yourself for posting this post, such a long time ago. You knew you would have pulled your hair out, trying to figure out exactly what you did when you were reading through the unburied time capsule in 2009 - before it was buried.
Sincerely, Yourself, a.k.a the Josh of December 13, 2009, 3:04 AM. Good night.
EDIT: Man, that felt so awkward, yet very solemn at the same time. This Time Capsule idea makes you think twice about the present moment and the uncertainty of the future.

Post by nobody on Dec 13, 2009 14:08:26 GMT
Dear nobody:
You woke up at 6. You are sitting at your desk beating your score in Epicenter on MBO. A spent cup of Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino stands to the back of the desk. Your desktop computer is pulsing the worms screen saver, and you think that you're tired of that one after a couple months, and to change it soon. You just finished your game and it ended up at 174.
The cats are playing with a pile of garbage that you forgot to take out and making lots of distracting noise. You walk over and put the garbage in the trash drum, and turn out the lamp. On your desk is an iPod charger cord wrapped around a Nokia phone. Also, there is a large stack of textbooks and homework to your left. You are half done with it.
You're brainstorming ideas for level building, which you plan to do today, and you're thinking up good ideas. You decide to pull an oaky trick and not tell what they are. Behind you are a pair of 200-watt speakers connected to an amp, but they aren't playing. You decide you're bored, so you want to listen to music. You walk over to get your iPod from the nightstand, but discover it only has about 15% battery.
You open up your laptop again to charge the iPod, and it only has 32% battery. You walk over to your computer bag, unlock it, retrieve the charger, and plug it in, and nearly avoid getting tangled in the mess of wires under your desk. The cat, attracted by the wires, comes over to investigate. When it starts trying to bite the wires, you resist shoving it up the tuba standing next to you on it's bell. You think about how you need to practice.
You unwrap the charger and plug it into the computer. You then unwrap the iPod charger and plug it in, and decide to sync it with iTunes. The iSight mounted to the top of my desktop is sitting closed, but connected. You are waiting for the iPod to sync, and thinking about when I'll buy the new computer. You know you need it.
You look over at your iPod sync and discover a fatal error - that you need to authorize or else it will be erased. You know you're using somebody else's account, so you find them. You have to go and do it now, and you don't want them seeing this.

As of now: I realize I am way too lazy to post current ongoing posts that long, so I skip it . Predictions (not seriously): -I will be 1st rank at least once, depending on whether I bother play - My inactive days will continue and even increase -My interest in MB will be what it is now, varying, doing anything related to it if I ever feel in the right mood or bothered, or not lazy... -The 2010 SA Fifa World Cup will be a unanimous hit, while my team chases another Cup, yeah! -Me and Chorus will pwn each other about the teams there, with maybe even MF, and any other person I can find -I will still love playing soccer, even if I might have cruel fate and get injuries all the time... -I may think more about joining an academy, depending on my interest, or career, might even want to teach the sport -Pascal and I will realize that people on the Lbs can't catch us up, and just relax and enjoy the care free world -The MBP WR rampage will be released, hopefully with my appearance... -I will resist the Uni/College temptations of girls and stick to my long reigned girl friend -I will not wank even once -I will be able to do numerous trick, especially +5 or slightly less "around the worlds", and doubles... (ask someone who knows what those are hehe) -I won't hit 3000 posts unless by miracles -The forums will hit over 2000 members -More mods made, not likely to test any - I will have over 100 videos, will awesome runs, surprising people with my awesomeness? - I will get to play MBO and pwn some nemesis *cough, Matan* -I traveling tomorrow to another country, and might have a rocking time if I find my school friends, and I will play some soccer this afternoon, before packing, and hopefully dribble anyone who plays at my house... Cya all later! -Dushine/Remy-

(i.e. fracture or break something) - I will break a WR on a MB level. - MBA and MBF will be released and will be a huge success. - MBO will have new maps and assets. - One new moderator will be announced. - IA will release a new game. - I'll post some more later hopefully

[Meh Predictions!] I will finally get around to finishing all the levels I've made. I will get LeaderBoards to (hopefully) work on my Mac. (Not going to say how.) I will get > 250 posts. If I can't get LB to work on my Mac, Matan or Spy44 will. I will update my website . (Not gonna happen...) The forums will stop getting people who take 20+ posts to understand how to do a simple task, i.e. install Cstr, or Map2Dif. A new member will get the 20,000th post. It will be spam. More to come! Post by Lonestar on Dec 31, 2009 3:41:38 GMT
Oh hey Future Lonestar, it is Sam. Just letting you know how things are. I'm not terribly active (I think I can count the number of posts I've made in the last year on one hand, maybe even the last two years), but these time capsules are always fun. So *post*. Predictions! I'll still be datin' Serenity~ (Oaky totally called that relationship about two years before it happened ) Holy crap I'll be a senior in High School. I'll have finally started good proper animation, all thanks to Pencil. I'll have beat myself with guilt over my slipping grades enough that they'll have recovered. I'll still have all the same computers as I have now, but maybe slightly modified.. I'm going to be more active, maybe not here, but in something. I've been trying to get less lazy, suck less, do things instead of thinking about them. Some projects might finish quickly, some I might still be working on by this time next year. But I'm going to get off my ass and do things again. Facts for comparison to future me: My favorite webcomic is undeniably Achewood. I can't for the life of me come up with a new cartoon character to add to my cast. My knees and wrists suck. I saw Up recently and it might be the first movie I've liked more than the Ed Edd n Eddy Movie. Augh I had a big list typed up but I forgot to save the file before I reinstalled OS X and formatted everything. I was reinstalling OS X so that I could get the other four operating systems on. I'm currently quin-booting Snow Leopard, Windows 7, Fedora 12, Haiku RCa1 and DOS. My hair is cut so you can see my ears. I'm not going to do a post about what I'm thinking right now because that's just a lot of work (there's still room for improvement in this "stop being lazy" effort), but I can make a little blog post or something. Today I went skiing with the family. Serenity was supposed to come, but since I have her phone (sad times) I had trouble getting her attention on time. I'm taking her ice skating tomorrow anyway, and we'll exchange Christmas gifts. I already gave her one, the ring I made. It's got a blinking LED I filed to look like a gem, soldered to some rounded circuit board. I soldered that to a regular store-bought ring (because the only material I had was copper, and that would tarnish a lot..), but on the plus side with the store-bought ring there is a second ring underneath the LED in case it breaks off. Despite getting no practice between our annual ski trips, I get better every year. This year I didn't get to do much though, it was so crowded. I almost fell a few times trying to avoid the people who littered the slope. I have a whole lot of pages of math homework to do for when break ends (which is next week!), plus a big art project. I should be working on that, but I'm not. (*beats self*) I'm sure I'll come up with more things to tell myself as soon as the capsule is buried, but right now I need to go work on improving my GPA and studying for finals. Finals the week we get back from break—pretty stupid.

I was going to say MB9 is going to die, but it happened before I could post.
Forums:
- About 3000 members, but 3500 at best. - Amount of topics will reach 8000. - Total amount of posts will be at least 150,000. - We shall breach 75 active users in the past 24 hours, and over 750 guests. - More mods will start up, only one will survive more than 3 months. - Forum management MAY stay the same, at best Aayrl and Marblefire get changed in ranks. - Activity of the forums will increase, none of the forum staff and/or oldies will leave (unless an accident occurs).
Marble Blast:
- Excitement over "1.50" gets increased, with trailers and screenshots stunning the community. - IA updates MBO, or something at least happens about it. - MBA/MBF release.
Myself:
- Successfully finish first year of Master of Biotechnology with every single subject reaching 80 points or more (High Distinction) - Become inactive in Marble Blast (except Project 1.50) most of the time so that the above thing can occur - The visit from my sister and her family is gonna be epic awesome
And that would be all.
