The Tale of the Tall Skyscraper - 5:36.21 [WR]
5:15.00 - 5:20.00 would be the best I can do with my current path I think.

And I missed a .87…the marble barely fell off…and no I wasn't doing the Start Pad Trick path…

Awesome Pascal! Those wrs, especially the ones on lbs, are reducing my chances of getting first place lol, though we are about roughly one million in difference... P.S Mac, I didn't almost "give up", I just had lost my "wr stamina, I could barely stand playing the level for even three quarters of an hour, while I have done waaaay more on more boring lvls lol, but anyway, I got it when I actually had time and played the lvl...

Ah, okay, that makes sense. EDIT: Just got Slip 'n Slide (4.820, tied with WR), I think I corner hit the mud edge instead of edge hit. Since I used the bounce-jump-bounce-jump-jump start instead of the start used in Matan's WR, if the latter is a tiny bit faster, maybe 4.81 is possible?

It is, I even can hit 4.80s with luck, so sub 4.80 is possible, just that precise start and edge hit, besides have 4.82 best even with this sucky Iclock lol.

I think this will be a very nice place to post it on (though rather irrelevant). iMac already knows about this (even before me LOL) coz he checks SDA a lot. But I saw this and went WHOA no way.
Israeli Red Dragon says: r u here? Israeli Red Dragon says: i got some big big news for you Xelna says: yes I'm here Israeli Red Dragon says: hold yourself tight Israeli Red Dragon says: SDA is coming for the second time to MAGFest, which is Music and Gaming festival held once a year Israeli Red Dragon says: like last year, they're featuring speedrun clips from various titles, and this year they're featuring many clips from the speedruns this year Israeli Red Dragon says: one of them clips included is from Marble Blast Gold, and is 22 seconds long. The featured level is Advanced Level 24, Survival of the Fittest. Congrats, your run of 6.777 got featured for the reason of "boost that makes you go WHOAA". Xelna says: LOL Xelna says: awesome

Escher's Race (28.49) Jump jump jump (2.394) and missed another 2.38… I should be able to finish with a 2.38 now (unlike last time) because I have paths that work with the marble rebounding off to the right of the TT that was just taken.

Nice catch Imac, get that wr... Haha niiice for Pascal, lucky guy Lol, seems like I have only 6 WRs, fail, nice to see Pascal get sub 6 on TM, about time too I'll probably aim for 10+WRs, get 2 digits atleast lol....and levels I want can include Hoops, NS maybe, SotF, Stepping Stones back (!), and probably those beginner lvls that I found paths too, intermediate levels not many though... Wow, long way to go, and Pascal may hit 80 WRs, if he ever bothers, he's unpredictable that way

Actually... I hit that 5.92 on Tower Maze back in March 2009... lol And the highest WR count I had was 91... when we were recording MBG WR Rampage 2, but then you joined the party and took some of mines away haha. All I have to say is : Good luck on getting those WRs back Especially Natural Selection and SotF since they're mostly based on luck... And iMac, I hope you get that 2.38 on JJJ someday

Updated List
There are 3 WR times I didn't add because they will be in the updated MBG WR Rampage.
The new Advanced Total time would be 8:57.15 or something close to it. Congrats everyone for bringing it sub-9 mins!
And there's one beginner level WR that hasn't been updated for the same reason.
If you're too curious, just go find out yourself what are those new times on Speed Demos Archive.

I seem to have forgotten to put these times:
Learn the Super Speed (2.82) Gyrocopter (2.80) Shock Drop (4.21) Tornado Alley (2.77) [no start pad trick] Siege (29.36) Ski Slopes (2.06)
Also, asuul714 has Gyrocopter (2.78) and Shock Absorber (3.02).
My spreadsheet shows 8:56.73 for Advanced total.

"Also, asuul714 has Gyrocopter (2.78) and Shock Absorber (3.02). "
He doesn't have proof, however, neither do we know him. In that case, put me for 2.77 Gyrocopter and 3.00 SA. =)

Yeah, at the state we are in the WR beating in MBG, video is a must if you want your time at the 1st place...
And Sonic, we're still want you to record a 2.50 on A-Maze-Ing and 6.65 Free Fall... and 3.17 Thrill Ride...

I could not stand going for a low time in a short level. Medium levels where .x might count is fine, even better if pure seconds. But going for a .0x improvement? UGH.
Best of luck to y'all!

Yeah, at the state we are in the WR beating in MBG, video is a must if you want your time at the 1st place... Concerning my Jump jump jump (2.38)… I have a video of the end screen, just like with Time Trial (2.23) and Super Bounce (2.99). I could not stand going for a low time in a short level. Medium levels where .x might count is fine, even better if pure seconds. But going for a .0x improvement? UGH. Best of luck to y'all! Interestingly enough I'm the exact opposite, I usually can't stand long levels. I seem to find it "easier" to slightly tweak the path of a short level rather than work on the multiple parts of long levels.
