Mediafire ftw. Filefront works too, but i hate the auto-delete thing. That and it's not one of the choices =P

Does localhostr have autodelete? The site I'm looking for is one that will allow me to upload files and forget about them and have them be there forever. I'm also fine with making an account if I have to. MediaFire I like, but it says that the files delete after 60 days of not using your account or 30 days of not being downloaded (both have to happen). divShare I already have an account for because I made one a long time ago, but I have no idea what their saving policy is (I can't find it anywhere). And localhostr actually looks nice as it's just upload, get link, the end. Very clean. But I see there's a login thing and I don't even know how to make an account. I can't find any info about localhostr.

It used to be that mediafire was hands-down the best. They recently added some annoying ads, however, but it's still preferable to divshare. And mediafire does have a good, clean interface, too. If you have an account, they do not delete your files (yes, you have to log in to the site once every other month, but how hard is that? They probably send notification emails too).
Localhostr is ok for files less than.... 300kb. It has a very simple interface, no ads, and you can direct link to your files (aka, click the link and it starts to download). However, if the file is over 50kb, you make people want to kill you. That is because they cap the download speed at 30 kb/s which is ridiculously slow... They do not delete your files automatically, however, being a new site it is not very reliable (maybe a year ago they did a site update and removed all files on the server). So don't upload anything there that you would mind being deleted. No accounts at the moment, that feature has been "there, but not available" for a year or more... lol.

I've decided to stick with my divShare account. 1) I already have one with some files on it. 2) They claim to host your files forever. I know this could easily change, but at least it's better than the MediaFire policy. (I do agree that it's not a bad policy and it'd be easy to deal with, but I might as well go with the more convenient option . I actually saw someone claiming that MediaFire hosts are forever, but I haven't seen anything else to back that up. If divShare's policy ever changes, it's likely to be the same as MediaFire's, and by that time I'll likely not care if my files are lost anyway. 3) I can't remember if I had a 3rd reason or not... Reason this whole thread came up is because I noticed that all the levels that I uploaded to FileFront are now gone, so much of my levels thread is useless (though my All Levels Pack is still downloadable via divShare). So later I'll be reuploading a bunch of things.

I say divshare because, everytime I upload something on filefront,or mediafire,it says unknown error occurred and I can never upload anything.

Yeah was gonna post this yesterday, but ACTUALLY I'm going to use MediaFire from now on. divShare totally changed their service in the last weeks. WTF. Now I have to use MediaFire and hope THEY don't change their policy!

I suggest getting your own free website at t35, if you have any FTP experience, then you can upload the files from your computer easily, or you could even add your own personal website to it, but that is if you have any patience and experience in website building. Check out my site there, it is pretty basic.

Hope that helps!
