Song got really annoying though. Before I made the other two recordings, I made a video with just the WR recording. It had another song that fit the video better. But when I added the other two, the song was too short so I had to choose another one.

Diamond Seeking Fun! (9.67)Story: While I was playing around with different starts for this level, I found that if I used the start where I held down the Powerup button right from the spawn (I call it the Noob Extreme Fast Start since I used it when I was a noob), I could hit the bottom of the sloped trim every time and rebound to the orange part. I worked out a path from that start, which for me is faster than the path Pascal used in his "7 MBP Advanced Levels" video. Notes: Initially I hit the first TM at 12.xx, but I found that getting the TM from the front instead of from the back saves about 2 seconds. Then I made a tweak to bring it below 10.00. I ended up with 20.31/22.00 time bonus, much of which is from the last TM. The weakness of this path is that the first TM is caught much later than in other paths, which means that this path is not able to go down as far as the other paths. This marks another level which I use the NEFS, the others being Gauntlet (back in the day, not diagonal), Whirl, Treacherous Road, Airwalk No Gems, Happy Birthday!, and Ski Slopes (back in the day, not diagonal). www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m4T5dz7i60Par Pit (57.67) and Frictional Battlecube (1:02.89)Story: Last year, when I was significantly worse at Marble Blast than I am now, I attempted these two levels. Par Pit I could barely finish under the Par Time and Frictional Battlecube I was about 1-2 minutes over the Par time. Although my times went down after a few tries, one of the reasons why I couldn't get significantly better times was because I didn't have paths for either level; I got gems as I saw them. So I decided to come up with a path for each level, not necessarily a WR path or even a good one, but just one that would allow me to remove all the time spent stopping and looking for gems. Frictional Battlecube's path goes through the tarmac first after the ice since (besides ice) I had the most trouble with tarmac. With the paths (and some more skill and practice), I was able to get about 2 minutes for both levels. Over the next few months, I got lower and lower times, mainly because of my better skill but also due to making many tweaks to both paths. Earlier this year, I broke the Ultimate Times for both levels. Notes: Par Pit: I was aiming for a low 1:0x when I got this sub-1. I made a mistake after the 27th gem so I tried to beat this time by not making that mistake but I couldn't. The gem that I pass after the 25th gem is supposed to be the 26th gem but I missed it. That's not a bad thing because I go back there anyway. Frictional Battlecube: I found that wall-hitting after the 11th gem doesn't save time (that might hold true for the one after the 15th gem too). I got an accidental edge hit after the 29th gem which saves a bit of time. I sometimes mix up the order of the first 2 gems to get on the grass and carpet of Frictional Battlecube, so I kept saying to myself, "right first, then left" (a help trigger on Mastering the Marble). www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpR9n8RSGr0Song for both videos: Styx - Mr. Roboto Up next are old but still good recordings (about time too) and the No Gems compilation trailer. EDIT: Forgot I used to use NEFS non-diagonal on Ski Slopes.

Marble Blast Levels 215 short levels. Learn the Super Jump (3.19), Learn the Super Speed (2.87), Gravity Helix (5.25), Bumper Training (2.88), Breezeway (2.64), Thrill Ride (3.57), Let's Roll! (2.27), Jump Tutorial (6.87), Learn the Friction! (4.31), Training Towers (5.93), Learn the Bouncy Floor (6.80), Bump Your Head! (3.71), Learn the Random Force (3.68), Loop Exits (5.91), and Ice Cold Pass (3.15). These are all old recordings, most if not all from late last year. Most were personal records at the time and they are still very good now. Some of them have not been beaten yet. Notes: Learn the Super Jump: I got 3.19 accidentally while doing the sign hit. I then spent the next hour trying to get it on .rec. Learn the Super Speed: I didn't go diagonally after the Super Speed because if I did, I might go too high to hit the finish Gravity Helix: I found that going diagonally was easier than I thought (not harder than going forward) Bumper Training: The delayed start and jump pattern meant that I can aim at the bumper easier. Later I used the same overall path for Learning to Roll. Thrill Ride: I had a low 4.xx on this level. I saw a few videos on YouTube with lower times, so I decided to try and beat those times. After many tries I hit 3.57. Learn the Random Force: This one took me many hours, although those hours were spaced over a month and a half. I had a 3.9x and decided to knock the time down. So by small adjustments to the path, I lowered the time bit by bit. Also, several times I would "just try the level" and end up with an unexpected personal best, which was then bettered on .rec. Eventually I ended up with a 3.68. Loop Exits: Like Learn the Super Jump, I got 5.91 accidentally and spent a while afterwards getting it again www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV9HbWCRctE

Good times alright, I always say random mixed levels help improve! Liked especially Loop Exits, Learn the Random Force and Training Towers, it and bump your Head are two levels I haven't bothered to get sub 5.90 and 3.60, I think I have like 5.98 and 3.6x lol, good vid anyway.

Roll Only: Fork in the Road (6.39)I watched awengrocks's "MBG Levels No Jumping" video and I noticed that he said Fork in the Road's Gold Time was impossible. I decided to play around with the level to see if there was a new path for the Gold Time. After a bit of messing around I found that this edge hit path got me a high 6.xx. It took me a while to lower my time to under Gold (6.50). Sonic beat me to uploading a video, I should have uploaded it yesterday as planned. Notes: I wanted to do a vertical trim hit on the side of the top road, but it messed up every time I did it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiiugwQBJ9wOrdeal (12.09 + Blooper Reel)I was messing around in Ordeal when I found this path that gets me a good time (later I found out that I wasn't the first to find it). Notes: I wanted a sub-12 but I kept messing up, as you will see. 1:12 - Didn't realize there was a gap between the platform and the moving platforms, I wanted to stay on the moving platforms for a while. www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0a4cULs4FA

Well done! I love how people think they have come up with a great path then somebody else finds a more elite one... Lol. No offence.

Lmao, hehe might happen. Sweet path on Fork in the Road, hadn't bothered with that . Cool path on Ordeal, didn't see that path in my head, but with the recent tweaks to it, I should not be too surprised lol, dunno how some of those runs missed LOL!

Someday, every level will be maxed out. Or not. I highly doubt that any level will ever become completly maxed out. There will always be a tweak, a mistake, a better path, something that will keep marble blast... Marble Blast.

Tornado Alley? Some do have their limits, but the large levels are a nightmare, plus so many custom levels anyway.

Marble Blast No Gems: The Trailer…Updates will be in this post here: www.marbleblast.com/index.cgi?board=hintmegood&action=display&thread=6652&page=2#81885This is the trailer for my upcoming Marble Blast No Gems compilation, which will feature 132 MBG and MBP regular levels, as well as possibly some custom levels. Currently, every level has been done, but some levels will be redone between now and the compilation's release. The compilation will be released in early August or possibly late July. It will be comprised of 5 parts: 1. Marble Blast Gold No Gems 2. Marble Blast Platinum No Diamonds 3. Marble Blast custom levels No Gems 4. Blooper Reel 5. Extras (alternate paths, other interesting stuff) I am planning to make one video with all these parts and then split it up as needed for YouTube. Notes: I put the trailer together in iMovie rather than Keynote, since I wanted the smooth transitions. That's also the reason for the quality loss. Song: Backstreet Boys - Larger than Life www.youtube.com/watch?v=38WNnQYbj0Q

EotS should be able to do 2.xx and if you need help on Space Station I can do it. I hope you did the trap for Despair at the start (in fact, i nearly left the level without diamonds coz of it). So looking forwards to this. Also a half pipe + superjump or just half pipe will do for frictional ascent.

No Gems: Learn the Time Modifier (BM 3) (0.00)Found this interesting side effect of a bigger marble a while ago (before my No Gems compilation). I think it's because right when the marble spawns, it's big enough to hit the Time Modifier above. Notes: It works with Big Marbles 1, 2, and 3. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqC8o9SWwjY
