Quoting Marblefire: In this case, it is acceptable, as the double/triple posting was done with a large time gap in between, and he is simply alerting us of new levels he has made. If you read the forum rules, you will see that such actions constitute part of the main exception for the rules of "no bumping/double posting."

Don't get radical, mbglevelmaker, it's fine. He made his latest post here in June - so without that bump, no one would have noticed that the first post had been edited.
EDIT: Ninja'd!

Hey, Hi Guy, I see you made three Secret Room levels. Funny, cause I don't ever remember you asking me for fucking permission. What the hell is wrong with you? Is that what you do in your spare time, rip off other people's custom level ideas and present them as your own? You had no right to make your own levels based around my original trilogy. Can't you come up with your own fucking ideas for custom levels? It's not THAT hard. Even worse, you seemed to know it was wrong, by not posting those levels here. It was only by my happening upon your website that I found out about this. Who knows how long these levels have been out. I certainly hope you delete these levels from you website ASAP, or I'll start spamming your email and your PMs demanding they're removed. You certainly don't want me to do that.

@as: Sorry for copying your idea, I should be more imaginative and not plagiarize other people's things. I have updated my web site, and if they are still there, hit "Refresh." @pf: Sure! This month's level(s) so far is: All other levels have been released before 2009. HiGuy

Statistics: - Level name: Arrow-Itized Level 1: Speed Boosters and Edge Hits
- Marble Blast Version: MBP
- Difficulty: Not too hard for one of my levels
- Qualify Time: 1:30.000 (M, S, MS)
- Platinum Time: 35.000 (S, MS)
- Ultimate Time: 25.000 (S, MS)
- Download URL: click here!

Troubleshooting: If the level gives you an error, that is probably because you don't have "sky_day.dml" in a place where MBP can find it. To fix this, go to marble/data/missions/Custom/ai1.mis and open with NotePad or TextEdit. Scroll down a little until you find: materialList = "~/data/skies/ sky_day.dml"; change "sky_day.dml" (which I've highlighted in blue) to "Bonus/Bonus_Sky.dml" (with the same capitals.) This should work. if it doesn't, you probably didn't install it right and don't bug me about it. Enjoy! HiGuy

Sorry for being lazy and not uploading this sooner. I was sorta addicted to spore. Anyways, look up at the top post for the download link to Learn HiGuy's Frictions! Note: The custom frictions are sorta weird to install. I am not COMPLETELY SURE how to do install them, and am not responsible to any problems to your version of MBP. If it doesn't work, please don't bug me. It will get you nowhere and is a big waste of time. Ask Matan instead. Thanks, HiGuy

You put any textures included with the download into the marble>data>interiors folder.

Frictions are still not working pablo

Post by Hi Guy on Jul 26, 2009 15:05:01 GMT
Ok. I will try to explain this as easily as possible.
Step 0: Put frictions in interiors folder (if you already haven't). Step 1: Open Frictions.txt Step 2: Go to MBP Mac: Right Click on MBP and select "Show Package Contents." Windows: I think there is a marble folder in the MBP directory, if there isn't, try to find one. (I don't use Microsoft, so I don't know.) Go to marble/data/init.cs (not init.cs.dso.) Open it in textedit or notepad.
Copy new MaterialProperty(HiGuyIceFriction) { friction = 0; restitution = 0; }; new MaterialProperty(HiGuySandpaperFriction) { friction = 99; restitution = 0; };
new MaterialProperty(HiGuyPlasterFriction) { friction = 5; restitution = 1.25; }; new MaterialProperty(HiGuyOilFriction) { friction = 0.125; restitution = 1.5; }; addMaterialMapping( "Ice" , HiGuyIceFriction); addMaterialMapping( "Plaster" , HiGuyPlasterFriction); addMaterialMapping( "Sandpaper" , HiGuySandpaperFriction); addMaterialMapping( "Oil" , HiGuyOilFriction); into it. IMPORTANT! DO NOT REPLACE THE CODE ALREADY IN INIT.CS! THIS WILL DELETE THE CODE ALL THE OTHER FRICTIONS! (THAT'S BAD.)
There you go!
Realize that I don't know how to do it on windows, regardless of the version.
HiGuy

Wow, those are some pretty good windows instructions for a person who doesn't know Windows, that is exactly correct, Marble>Data>init.cs
the friction level looks great! soo downloading now.

Any windows user note that if you modify MBP's script files or make your own (it should not be shipping with init.cs for 1.10 and above), the leaderboards will scream with this file giving an error and become unplayable.

Does putting the code in the .mis file also make the leaderboards scream?

Post by IsraeliRD on Jul 27, 2009 8:45:57 GMT
no if its a custom level, but if you do it in mbp/mbg mission files that are used by the leaderboards, it will (because any modification makes it scream).
