The gates or the trees or the... I couldn't tell ya. Is it some sort of new puzzle gamemode? Or is this some sort of level-inception...

Oh my gosh! I'm pumped up and looking forward to this. I expect to see this in a week or two. I know this is going to be huge! Prediction: It might have do with something with the gates.

What about that brown/orange thing in the lower corner... is that some sort of kart? Or maybe a special pad of sorts...

Anyone who wants to play PQ should start working on their breath-holding ability. Or go play that MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM spam board game.

I got it! you must roll through the maze while holding your breathe! How do they know if you are breathing you might ask? Well, they figured it out obviously ! Maybe by listening for breathes in your mic, maybe by a special accessory, maybe by magic. Any way, better start practicing. My powers of deduction beat all of yours'.... Edit: On a more serious note I am guessing some sort of portals. Go in one gate, come out another...

Jeff the only things that really stand out about the level/mode is: a. the gates b. the gems c. the ice shards and d. the fact that there are walls surrounding the temple/shrine like place.

yes, but you have to think of the small things, which can turn into big things sometimes, you have to think of the non-obvious things to learn more

Anyone who wants to play PQ should start working on their breath-holding ability. Or go play that MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM spam board game. Based o n this, I think this may have something to do with water (like underwater water, not the friction). MB+ was supposed to have water, but it was too buggy. I'm guessing that you guys have coded functional water. Only problem is that there's no water in the screenshot. This could just be a trick. I'll bet that there's water in the hole on the right of the screenshot. The gates are merely scenery. (good scenery though)

@kwill, this has been said 1000 times: mbg's engine can NOT support water.

MB+'s water was just a flat transparent water texture, with a low gravity trigger under, and then we made the textures under the water darker.

Maybe that little square will close/open the gates or reveal a secret passage. Or it changes the way the level is played on contact.

@kwill, this has been said 1000 times: mbg's engine can NOT support water. Quite often, something is thought to be impossible for the Marble Blast engine, and later it is successfully completed. Mega Marble, anyone?

Looks higly awesome. I see Diffix magic there. @kwill, this has been said 1000 times: mbg's engine can NOT support water. Quite often, something is thought to be impossible for the Marble Blast engine, and later it is successfully completed. Mega Marble, anyone? I disagree about impossibility. I had few ideas how can working water or rain could be made with few sniplets of code. It woulnt act as good as valves old engine do but it would do the trick.

Exactly how far are we from release date? Not to bug you or anything, but I've been told that it would come out in the summer of 2011, then at the end, then the beginning of 2012... *holds breath to death*

Exactly how far are we from release date? Not to bug you or anything, but I've been told that it would come out in the summer of 2011, then at the end, then the beginning of 2012... *holds breath to death* I wish I knew. Most of the delays with PQ, like MBP and most other mods, stem more from feature addition than from slow work. The Platinum Team is working very hard to bring you the game as soon as possible, but at the same time PQ has evolved to be so much more than the MBP expansion pack that is was originally conceived as. All the things you see in the screenshots and feature spotlights, and that you will love the most when you play PQ, would not have existed in a 2011 release. (And there's still more to come.) My personal opinion is that there is a 50% chance of a 2012 release. Other staff members may differ.

Jeff that wasn't my point. My point was that is was previously thought impossible to do it, but Seizure figured it out. Maybe Seizure figured out how to code real water too. Maybe not. I don't know.
