So, this is supposed to be a beginner level? What am I doing wrong this time? For one, most of the time, I'm not able to get that chained superjump thing to work to shoot me up the stalk, and then, once I manage to get all the gems, the supposedly simple super jump up to the finish is nearly impossible for me to do. I come nowhere the finish platform and instead just go flying off the stage!
Am I really this bad at Marble Blast? I managed to beat all the levels in the original game, so why am I having trouble on the beginner levels here?

No, you're not bad at MB. MBP was really hard for me when I started. When you're jumping up the stalk, heres what you should do: jump, press and hold the powerup button. You will hit the second super jump. At this point, let go of the powerup button. You will grab, but not use the third super jump, and fly out of the stalk. Grab the gems on the petals, then jump, super jump onto the finish. Hope this helps.

To elaborate onto what Kwill said, I personally don't suggest holding down the powerup button, as it can be difficult to tell when you've got the next SJ. Instead: jump, powerup button, powerup button (when you can see you've got the next SJ), and land. If you do decide to hold down the button, just make sure you don't use the 3rd SJ until after you've collected all the gems. Here is a fairly easy walkthrough of the level: www.youtube.com/watch?v=V02bk_ZbkWg

I don't find it too hard to hold the powerup button. Pressing it repeatedly can make you not have enough lift. Just try both ways.
