Hi everyone, So, I don't know if I'm missing something or just being a dumb noob or what have you, but I can't for the life of me manage to pull off the wall jump. I'm on the beginner "learn to wall jump" level and I've got the first one down pat, where you have to rebound off a wall in front of you to get up to the platform on the right. However, I can't, no matter how hard I try, figure out what's involved in doing the second rebound off the wall to the left. It doesn't seem like it would be hard, so why can't I figure it out?

You could try moving the camera so that the chevron wall is in front of you, then get a running start and rebound like you did on the first wall.

is there enough room to get enough of a running start to do that?

Use diagonal movement (turn the camera about 45 degrees then hold down both the forward and left keys at the same time for faster movement) while jumping once or twice and you should be able to do it.

Here's a video of a nice, easy run of Learn the Wall-Hit: Good luck.

If your problem is gaining speed, you could try going across the entire platform, and trying to wall-hit and land on top of the chevron piece, then walk over to the next part. If you do it right, you can stop yourself so you don't slide off the other side.
