The mac build of Marble Blast Platinum 1.12 has been released. It utilizes a very nifty installer, coded by Ben, and makes the job of installation painless. However, because it is "beta," there are some known issues that you can see in the installer, and below. Please additionally post all errors you may encounter during installation or bugs. Known Issues-Times from custom levels may not show up in marble blast Platinum. -Some levels' in-game help text (in some beginner levels) is partially cut off. -If you have divisions files in both package contents of marble blast Gold and the Library, the install will finish, but marble blast Platinum will be corrupted. This is highly unlikely for the average user, and the main scenario in which this could occur is if you had done divisions for a previous install, but you did not 'move' the divisions files, but instead copy and pasted them. You can find the download on Phil'sEmpire.

Are times supposed to be erased from levels that were modified?
Mine aren't, but some levels have erased times and I thought maybe the wrong ones were erased.

Enjoy MBP, mac users! I had the pleasure of testing it, and I can assure you that it woks perfectly and is (imo) the best Marble Blast in existance right now. Happy Marble Blasting! It would be if it had Leaderboards... and the installer functioned correctly for me. I downloaded the installer, backed up anything pertaining to my 1.02 version of MBP, launched the installer, and reached the point at which you select the destination. I selected all the correct destinations, and hit "Install." The installer then claimed that it could not find any prefs.cs files in my library folder, despite the fact that they are there. Could anyone help me out? I tried launching Marble Blast Gold as instructed.

This is great! So does it have LBs or not? (Btw, andrew, it's "existence" ) Unfortunately the Mac and Linux versions of MarbleBlast Gold have very little success in server communications, therefore leaderboards cannot be included at this stage (just like tip of the day rarely works). Remember to backup any important MarbleBlast files before installing. Andrew, glad to hear it worked, thank you for your help testing.

Well, the installer quits "unexpectedly" immediately after I press "install" for me... Though I dunno whether my copy is OEM or from GG.com, any way to check?

OEM means that it came installed on your Mac when you bought it.

Yeah, about that...I got this copy from a friend, who downloaded it from god-knows-where, so I dunno. It does say version 1.5.3 though, if that helps (probably not).

That would explain it. If you want MBP, you'll have to purchase a copy from GarageGames.com.
This Person: All time's are transferred over. They are on modified missions too. If you want to clear times for a level, go into prefs.cs and erase all three lines for the mission's name.

Be sure this is where "prefs.cs" is located: User/Library/MarbleBlast/marble/client/prefs.cs That would explain the installer's failure to work correctly. What should I do to remedy the situation?

Play a level. If prefs.cs is there, installation will work.

Nothing appeared that wasn't there before. These six things remained in the folder throughout; no "prefs.cs" file ever appeared there along beside these files.

MBP is a free modification, not found or given by GarageGames. MBP is made by the community and is free. You need to buy MBG from GG in order to have MBP working.

That is so gay. Why cant they make a version where you dont need MBG at all??

That is so ghey. Why cant they make a version where you dont need MBG at all?? MBP wasn't made from scratch, it was a direct modification of the files from MBG. Therefore, it is impossible to make an MBP that doesn't require MBG. Ask your parents to buy it for you if you can't.

And we can't give for free the entire game either, as it's illegal. So we give everything but the ignition files, which require MBG. Without them, MBP can't run.

A bug:
When you start to load a level and press cancel the level selector goes to next level rather than the one you cancelled the loading of. (even if it's not unlocked yet)
Edit: nvm it doesn't do it anymore
